    Tipnut
I think we all have them, those mile high piles of household tips and life hacks that we’ve collected over the years. They’re messy, disorganized and once they’ve been ‘filed’, those tips are nowhere to be found again.

TipNut.com isn’t anything fancy. It’s simply my way of putting together all the cool tricks I’ve accumulated over the years into a simple, searchable, online filing box–this website. Some of them I’ve tried, some of them I don’t know if I’ll ever try. But I do know they’ll be here if I need them–and I’m happy to freely share everything with you too!

  • Quick beret...

    Quick beret...
    So...French ?!@#$

    you bet!

Nikki promised it would be. True to form the pattern is comprehensively written & offers loads of tips and tricks to make the construction run smoothly. The Beret is offered in multiple sizes & styles.

I chose the full crown version & I think it's rather magnifique. I've already received an "& me too" request.

You'll be able to make yourself one of these beauties in the very near future. Keep your eye keenly plastered on You Sew Girl. It's a ripper (that's the kootoyoo stamp of approval/official seal/thumbs up).

The pic last week gave everyone such a giggle - I've done my best to back it up for you all. I had planned to reproduce this shot but it proved impossible.

    Thumbs up...

I love these teeny tiny pieces of art by clever unbecoming lily.

It's prompted me to drag out my little embroidered swing coat from last year & do something with it.

I've been so loving sharing in jeanamarie's homework assignments for her course. I mean just look at this lemon ...so good!

I'm pretty seriously considering enrolling. That's my kind of school work.

    Casting on using your thumb...

Gets the thumbs up from me!

It just goes to show...you've got to be open to try new things.

What a lovely night we had at Brown Owls last night. Aunty Pat was a marvellous teacher. We learnt new tricks & laughed lots. I got the low down on the trip to Mood & the star spotting from this jetsetting girl.

Pip has some lovely photos on her blog.

If it weren't for the quilt project I may never have "met" & fallen in love with...

& if you think her inspiration shot looks good. Wait until you see the finished piece.

Lisa has an etsy store too & sells beautiful, beautiful things.

    eat lights

    but nobody's home.

It's true for the new ranch...so frustrating!

It's true for this space too & I apologise for that. I plan to rectify that over this week as it seems I won't be moving anywhere in a hurry. Thank you all for reading & for contributing to make kootoyoo a space I enjoy.

I went for the lettering after the difference of opinion over the knife. The Date gave the letters the thumbs up. I think that they will look great in the new kitchen.

  • Like being a wife...

    Like being a wife...

When I read I switch of completely. I plonk myself down & read & read like a woman possessed until the book is finished. I'm sure it's not the healthiest way to devour literature & consequently I don't read as much as I'd like ... my family needs feeding after all.

I was sent Like Being a Wife (a collection of short stories) last year & found it to be the perfect antidote to my obsessive nature. I took the book a story by story just when I had a few moments ... very civilised.

The wet, windy and grey few days in Queensland meant that I had the luxury of having absolutely nothing to do. I spent a lazy afternoon finishing Like Being a Wife by Australian author Catherine Harris.

Catherine writes beautifully. She is witty & wordy & wonderful. I highly recommend this work of fiction to you all.

    Giant thumbs up Catherine.
