    My creative space...
    slow burn

It's all about the slow burn projects at my place at the moment. I've got the white quilt, a bit of stitchery, the car crochet & a bit of knitting. There are also quite a few projects that have been put on the back burner waiting for more time.

I think perhaps a few too many things on the go - meaning I'm getting no where fast with any of them...sigh.

  • Patchwork paving...

    Patchwork paving...

FINALLY there's a bit of action on the landscape front.

I had a picture of the type of thing I wanted in my flickr favourites but this is so much better than I could have imagined. I can't wait until the "sashing" is planted. Just hugely exciting really.

I'm going in search of an outdoor table top this arvo & then catching up on some creative spaces from yesterday.

    Happy weekend lovely folk. x

  • A note to the graphic girls...

A note to the graphic girls...

    just saying.

I do not fold my tea towels vertically, I fold horizontally.

I've got a crick in my neck from admiring my growing collection of bloggy tea towel souvenirs ... so I've fashioned my own.

  • My creative space...

    My creative space...

is still filled with the "ask me no questions" craft from last week. It's inching ever closer to completion.

I seem to be ridiculously busy & pre-occupied at the moment. This usually lends itself to a total kitchen rebellion but I'm loving being at the stove at the moment. Last night I made these delicious (& really bad for you) potato stacks & today I'm planning on whipping up some banana bread & white chocolate cookies for the school lunches.

    Happy Thursday folks.

  • Choosing happy...

    Choosing happy...
    happy(?) people

Not really sure if these guys are happy or running for their lives...

I'm a glass half full kind of girl so I'm ... choosing to see them as happy ... choosing happy for me & for my lovely family too ... & choosing a happy weekend for you all.

  • My creative space...

    My creative space...

Mucking around with pencil & paper in a bit of down time from the hook. Doodling, writing, scribbling & trying to figure out how to make my homework look semi decent. I'm not at all comfortable with the pencils. ARGH!

  • Finishing off...

    Finishing off...
    home straight

I'm on the home straight with my "car craft" project...just one more side to go.

I now have my fingers firmly crossed that I've hit the mark with this gift.

    In other news...
I may or may not have had a brainwave in relation to upcoming baby gift. Now I just have to figure out how to actually make the thing!

    My creative space...

Just a teensy bit of x(ing) going on.

A fair bit of movie watching & coffeeing & hanging with the kids too.

  • The holidays...

    The holidays...

begin today & I've decided to surrender to them (for the first week at least).

I'm taking a little break & will see you in a week or two.

This slide frame pendant was fashioned yesterday. I do love a bit of drama! Such a huge production for such a ridiculous piece of "jewellery".

    See you soon...

  • Making plans...

    Making plans...
    making plans

    & getting no place fast.

I had the very best of intentions for keeping my hands busy this weekend. Things went haywire, as they are prone to do when you've got kids & I spent most of the weekend behind the steering wheel.

So...the plans will have to wait. Bring on the holidays I say, I'm ready.

Did you know that lovely Melbourne girl Michelle is making some VERY exciting plans of her own? Do you think that you could help her out by taking her super quick little survey? She's ace & it's all about fabric!

    20100901_0352

This is the finished mini for The Downunder Doll Quilt Swap organised by Kate.

The centre panel is embroidered using stem, chain stitch & a fair few frenchies too. You don't see much stumpwork about on blogs so I thought I'd break a bit of that out too.

The outside 3D border/quilty bit is based on the scrappy number I picked up at the antique shop.

I really hope my partner likes it.

    Have a fabulous weekend everyone.
