    Then & now...

    same cheesecloth top.

Worn as a dress in 1978 & as a top (over bonds singlet for modesty) 2009.

Not looking as cute as I did then...

Image taken in the Fitzroy Gardens by swank Melbourne photographer (whose name escapes me).

  • This is ... me pre 1985

This is ... me pre 1985

    Mmmm stylish!

Actually this is me (centre) in 1985 with my brother & sister. Photo courtesy of The Marlboro Man (TRUE & a Celebrity Sighting).

Trevor ‘Butch’ Lemke (’56) recently visited the School. Trevor has lived in Thailand for 14 years where he is a professional photographer. Many of his photos feature the exotic Thai landscape and are used in travel books and brochures. Trevor was the last ‘Marlboro Man’ in 1975 and featured as the Cleo centerfold in January 1976! Great Scot.

I didn't know (or remember the bit about the Cleo centrefold). Thank you Google!

For Angela because she's ace & because Flashback Friday was lots of fun.

I haven't forgotten my tags & I promise them for this week!

  • This is...what scares me

    This is...what scares me

If you think that I was going to get close enough to a real live chicken then you are crazy!

No...not really...my mother-in-law has chickens & I probably could have summoned the courage but they are on holidays with her at the moment.

I am REALLY scared of chickens. I think it comes from visiting the country cousins & having 20 chickens chased out of the hen house towards me on a daily basis. The country cousins would of course roll around laughing their heads off.

Sweaty palms & racing heart .... I was truly terrified & too scared of my aunt to say I didn't want to go down to the chooks anymore.

The fear is actually for all winged creatures. I'm NOT a bird girl.

Thanks Jodie for this weeks theme.

  • So here I am...

    So here I am...

    in front of you.

She is our pride & joy.

Rescued from the date's parents garage & given a bit of TLC.

She was half full with classic 70's & 80's tunes when we got her. She doesn't have the greatest sound but she looks pretty (red) hot.

Plus, who doesn't need a bit of Racey in their lives?

  • Jingle bells...

    Jingle bells...

j..j..jingle bells, j..j..jingle all the way.

Whilst I've been patiently waiting to see the finished product of the top secret collaboration, I've been working on a collaboration of my own.

Not much of a collaboration - more of a giggle from me when I received an email from gorgeous sister in steamy Darwin entitled "annoying 80's jingles". Here are just a couple from her long list of suggestions...

No other choolate looks like Flake looks,
No other chocolate tastes like Flake tastes,
For a bar full of Cadbury Dairy Milk
Feel it crumble & melt in your mouth,
No other chocolate does it to you like Flake does,
    Created like no other chocolate

When a snack attack hits you,
    You've got the facts,
'Cos nothing does it to you like a SNAK PAK

The one that has stuck in my mind more than any other....

    4175 o double o
    4175 o double o
    MINI SKIPS

& now I can't get it out of my head.

  • Flashback Friday - Hippie Love...

    Flashback Friday - Hippie Love...

When Sunbury was going on I wasn't yet born.

I am a child of the 70s though & I think this pic of me in my handmade skirt (which I adored) & my cheesecloth top is just about as hippie as things got for me.

    Happy Flashback Friday.
