We had a lovely lunch with the extended family. Everyone contributed, making it pretty relaxed for all concerned.
We all ate far too much so The Date & I made a pact to eat raw for the next few days. But I've just broken a tooth...nothing'll put you off your food faster than that.
Hope you had a great day & got spoilt by the fat guy.
In a house that is already seriously technologically challenged at the moment...the circumstances which led to this 2-7 day resting place can only be described as an absolute freaking disaster.
It's new(ish)...under contract...& potentially a pretty expensive Saturday!
I was hoping that we were going to be in the new house.
The house is done but we still don't have power. So today I cracked it & ordered a skip. The 5 of us spent some quality time chucking out a whole lot of rubbish.
I'm feeling a wee bit more zen about the whole thing now.
I picked up this little shelf at the op shop last week...cute eh.
Today was supposed to be the day I officially launched building our future & showed you a pic of the site cut & got all excited & then promised to only bore you on the building blog.
But...we're on hold until Friday.
At around 7:25am my brain threatened to burst out of my temples...so in an attempt to cheer myself up I put on some cherry gear (yep - including cherry undies!) & headed out for coffee. It was just a little too early for a vodka!
I had to delete the post from yesterday, I tried to edit it & there must have been something wrong with the code. I figured it was the universe telling me not to post that map so I deleted it.
So that freak running in the all together did actually put the wind up me a bit. Today my run took me just about as far away from that park as it is possible to get on foot & without a compass.
I still think it is hilarious that anyone would get their kicks running without pants but now I'm feeling annoyed that I've allowed the idiot to get to me.
I reckon it'll be a good few weeks before I'll be in that neck of the woods again. I'll be spending much time here re-working some of my favourites. 51
If you think that I was going to get close enough to a real live chicken then you are crazy!
No...not really...my mother-in-law has chickens & I probably could have summoned the courage but they are on holidays with her at the moment.
I am REALLY scared of chickens. I think it comes from visiting the country cousins & having 20 chickens chased out of the hen house towards me on a daily basis. The country cousins would of course roll around laughing their heads off.
Sweaty palms & racing heart .... I was truly terrified & too scared of my aunt to say I didn't want to go down to the chooks anymore.
The fear is actually for all winged creatures. I'm NOT a bird girl.
5 glowing gifts 4 waiting sacks 3 Chrissy trees 2 drinks with bubbles & a sp...i...i...i...i...ng santa
Yep...that's the kootoyoo tribe. These tealight holders are gifts for someone special this Christmas.
I'm feeling a bit hamstrung by the "brilliance" of the 12 days of Christmas idea. I've got lots of other stuff I want to share & I'm lacking a bit of inspiration for the 12 days at the moment. It's OK at this end of the song but what about when I get to 10, 11 & 12?
Oh well...I'm a finisher that's for sure. If I commit to something I'm going to see it through. So if you nod off over the next few days I'll try to make sure that the wake-up call at the end is nice & loud.
Don't forget to check out the December gift. It really is a beauty. It plugs into the TV & all the games have an educational element. Take a look here.
