Right O it's all about the hot at the moment. I'm choosing not to focus on the not.

HOT
- a christmas gift from rummage. Just gorgeous...go & get your pressie too.
- thoughtful, intelligent people writing some good stuff over here.
- the butter dish featured on my kitchen table above.It's so good - it even has it's very own knife.
- my house tour on the design files. Eeek...Lucy has made my house look fab. You've all been very patient waiting for me to share some pics & I haven't because I wanted to wait for this. So if you want a gander at the new digs you need to click here.

- Felt from Feltgirl on etsy. Far out...look at the colours aren't they wonderful!

- Wrapping the first of my Christmas presents. The Cookie genius has this wrapping paper for sale in her shop. She shoots you a PDF email & you just print away...5 colours. Fabulous.

- Apple green. I saw a display bathroom tiled in apple green tiles & now I can't stop thinking about it (& wishing I wasn't so "safe for resale").

- Victoria Mason. Just everything about that girl is hot, hot, hot. Her work is beyond compare...attention to detail every step of the way. She's going to be at Magnolia Square from Thursday to Sunday. Surely this Christmas you deserve a pencil sharpening or morning tea ring set.

- The Plant Sitter. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this book.

- Chicago. I've seen the stage show at least 10 times & I never get tired of it.

Not

- Airconditioning that's too cold. I wore my jeans on my arms in the theatre last night & used my carry bag as a nanna rug just to keep warm.

- Possums in the ceiling!!! It's OK...Pete's been around & I think we may have the little critter beat.

- Curly girl with a stomach bug.

I've got plenty o' hot this week...

- Mixtapezine. I read this yesterday while I ate my bircher (also hot). There's a lot to love about this edition...Sooz's thoughts on rules...The Date's music reviews...Aunty Cookie tear out...Gemma Jones cover...& the "multi tasker tute" by me.

- Starting to feel like the new house is almost "done".

- My stud finder... a really truly one for walls (not the failing eyes or the overworked ticker).

- Pin cushions. Really how many does one girl need? If you think you might need another. The square one is here & the pieced hexagon pincushion is here.

- A visit on the fly to The Mill.

& very little of the not...

- Just tired...to the core. Even missed the long run last week - you know it's serious.

-These bracelets from RG Madden. I've been coveting these for a good long time now. I'm trying to recreate them using gummy bracelets which I purchased at the Op Shop/Thrift store. Currently a fail but I've got another couple of ideas.
-Citipower actually came to my house today.
-Fisher Price "Little People". I'm loving those little guys even more than usual this week.
-Embroidery...I can't get enough.
-These shoes which I saw at Shoppo on the weekend.
-Kids who say #fail & #owned (according to the kids, not me - see below).

Not
-The fact that the gummy bracelet (hot 80s fashion item) is now a "shag band". Yick!
-My TIP of a house. I've mentally & emotionally "left the building". There's stuff from one end of the joint to the other & it's driving me insane.
-The AC adapter for my crappy old laptop finally giving up. Too expensive to replace (also not hot).
-Shoppo. It gives me a headache.
-Kids who say #fail & #owned. I'm getting heartily sick of #failing & being #owned by my 10 year old.

-Electricity taking up to FOUR weeks to get connected! What is up with that?
-too many hours kneeling on the floor, sitting at the sewing machine & typing on the keyboard. All this makes for a pretty creaky OLD me.

-Mao's Last Dancer. Everyone in the family is reading/listening to Mao. The Big Girl (who is reading the original) says it's hands down the best book she's ever read.
-Being three quarters of the way through piecing the top of The Red Quilt.

-The Date playing good golf despite the weather.
-New babies! My sister just had one & my sister in law is just about to pop.
-Where the Wild Things Are. It's everywhere! Hottest wild thing this week.

NOT
-Having a sore back from kneeling on the floor all day.
-Head rushes from standing up too quickly.
-Less than ideal Melbourne weather.
-Running out of jubes.
